Our mission is to provide a one-stop resource for anyone who is interested in learning about the fascinating history of Houston, Texas and to provide an interactive platform that will enable this site's visitors to collaborate on on-going preservation efforts in the surrounding area.
Since HoustonHistory.com first appeared online, over a decade ago, we have scoured many local resources to find the most interesting artifacts to chronicle the City of Houston's most interesting past. Along the way, we have uncovered some rare items (stories, pictures, audio and video) for this sites' visitors to enjoy in our online flagship community.
If you are a regular visitor to HoustonHistory.com, you will notice that we have recently made some significant changes to the site's overall design. We would also like to welcome first-time visitors to the site. We appreciate your interest and we hope that you are able to find the information that you are searching for. Our Founders
HoustonHistory.com was founded back before the turn of the 21st century by native Houstonians, Stephen and Larry Griffin, who have a strong interest in preserving the history of Houston, Texas. HoustonHistory.com is entirely privately funded.
